Miss Catherine Eliah Strongwill wasn't, apparently, late even though it was what Kanita could think. Hazumu was standing right there, in about five steps from the other girl. She didn't see a familiar face, too. After all, why would she?.. And she already was really nervous, thinking of something to do about the fact that the person she agreed to meet was her friend - and for a long time already - and she didn't know that friend at all. Or rather, that memory was erased.
She let out a sigh and 'fixed' her skirt again. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to wear something like that. But the weather was nice and all?.. She checked if the ribbon in her hair was tied properly and sighed again.
"But I don't swing that way..." Hazumu blushed and - as usually when she didn't know what to do - re-tied the white ribbon. That usually gave her enough time to concentrate again.
Hazumu blushed even more and turned a bit away from Kanita; "Never mind if you don't understand what I said, it's an Amatsu idiom. Anyway, how are you doing?.." She tried to turn the conversation to a safe route.
"Uh...no, seriously Cat, I'm just messing around. Girls in Ayothaya do that kinda stuff to each other all the time, it's not weird." She felt as if she should be patching this up. Hazumu was being awkward about it.
"It's not weird in Amatsu, too, but only if the girls in question are in love with each other... and it's a bit... unusual and it's forbidden actually and... And..." She was really being awkward, yeah.
"...Oh. Well. Uh." She rubbed the back of her head, glancing away. "It's not like that in Ayothaya? You don't have to be in love with somebody to mess around with them."
"Guess our morals are a bit more strict. Though if we were under 13 years old, I wouldn't get so shocked and stuff... Sorry, anyway. By the way..." She pointed at a small lake ahead. "Can we sit down there?"
Hazumu followed. "Now that is something, how should I act so that person, Lan, wouldn't notice I forgot everything from before?.. Gosh, that Hazumu didn't leave me even a slight note about her own personality or something more than "friends!" about Kanita. Did she think I'll be the same?.." - she thought as she sat down with the lake right down at her feet.
"Hey... what name is better for me to call you? Lan or Kanita?.. I can't choose..." She blushed a bit, again.
Hazumu nodded, taking her knee-high boots off. "Yeah, I sort of remember now. A lot of time passed and stuff... damn, can't get used to these yet, walking in these is a bit tiring. Guess I need something like this but without high heels?.." She stared into the water. "What do you think? Does this kind of clothes suit me?.."
"Really?.. My mom and auntie told me the same. I don't know though. Can people grow down?" She put her feet into the water and looked up at the sky.
"I don't know, there's yet too much to learn. By the way, I've forgot... how old are you?" She looked at Kanita. "I mean, I can't help but think you're a bit older than me..."
She let out a sigh and 'fixed' her skirt again. Maybe it wasn't a good idea to wear something like that. But the weather was nice and all?.. She checked if the ribbon in her hair was tied properly and sighed again.
