I think that's exactly what freedom has been for a long time - an abstract idea that revolutionaries, anarchists, dictators, fascists, and the public has held onto as an unqualified goal, a goal which is always to be strived for, but upon its fulfillment has nothing tangible to offer us. Real freedom is not found in petty words or ambiguous and timid manifestos or in impressive sounding political orations. Truly unrestrained freedom is impossible in organized society, because just as liberty is the birthright of a man, the birthright of all men is equality.
