january 7th is six months after my homecoming and more than a year after I left.

this is so hard to believe: it was a whole year ago that I was just getting settled in in London and adjusting to life abroad.  and now I'm back in America and that particular adventure is over for me.  and regardless of where my life is now, that just feels weird.

is it a documented fact that transporters make a whanging sound? I always imagined a sort of whirring.
