oh, believe me, that much I know. I actually respect faith and religion a lot, though I don't share it. and for that matter, I'm a fan of free speech. but hatred, directed towards anyone, is not in the realm of our rights, and I don't think it was meant to be. and I hate when people whose faith is founded on love use it to justify hate simply because they can't find understanding in themselves.

As for the Bible passages, they're not interested in how much the new testament tells them to love others as long as they can pull sentences out of Leviticus (19 and 21) and take them out of cultural context.
