It took me forever, but I finally did it! The first chapter of my novel is finally finished! ;; I can't tell you how many times I did a complete rehaul, but hopefully, everyone will like the final results. Now without further ado...

It's like, I can clearly see some of the YA romance novels being parodies (Twilight, Hush Hush, Evermore? Maybe Beautiful Creatures? 50 Shades?). Seriously. Absolutely brilliant.

I don't know much of Evermore outside of the protagonist's name and melodrama, but I did parody Twilight, Hush, Hush, Beautiful Creatures, and 50 Shades. The gross stereotyping was inspired by House of Night. :P

Oh my gosh. ;; I actually update over at Ao3 (under Shamanic Shaymin) these days, but I'm always happy that people like my work~ ♥ I uploaded a 50 Shades parody there. :D

Oh, I read the first two Immortals books (Evermore and Blue Moon). The plot of the second was pretty much 'I want to have sex with him, but we can't touch each other or he'll die.' Or was that the third? I can't remember exactly; they were both ridiculously contrived.
I swear, every YA romance novel these days is set in a small town with ridiculous stereotypes. Makes me glad that my book is set in Leeds.

...I'm having a look. I have to see this.
