Welcome to Puri's Creepy Crossing. In each episode, I visit disturbing and/or strange towns via Dream Addresses shared in "Animal Crossing: New Leaf." Today, we'll start with the most infamous town of all... so infamous, that its creator was featured and interviewed in the Japanese equivalent of Nintendo Power. Attend the tale of Aika.

The room with the watching eyes totally scared me when I adjusted the camera. I was so unprepared for that. XD

Another moment while I was in the house with the bookcases, something blocked my way as I came inside and when I turned the camera to check what it was, Aika was there! She didn't leave so she would often block my path.

Initially I assumed the doll did something to Aika due to the villagers having it in their houses until I visited the character houses. Then I went with the Overbearing Mother but the Evil Dad theory also sounds plausible. It's pretty neat how this town was put together.

I love how open-ended Aika is. It could've easily just been Evil Doll Town, but the thought put into the landscape and the houses and Aika's character makes it so much more than that. It must've taken forever for the creator to set up. :o
