Biancaaaaaaaa T_T This is so sweet, I love the way you captured the character growth of both her and her dad, especially the latter. And that "I'm proud of you" really brought it all home.
Thank yoooou! ;; I was worried I'd be rusty (since I've just started playing the game again and got past Castelia), but I saw the lyrics, remembered the song was about a father/daughter relationship, and the first thing that clicked was Bianca and her dad. Which is interesting, since in the original song, the dad wanted his kid to be independent, but Bianca's papa didn't want her to leave, and I couldn't resist poking into that.
For the average person, graveyards meant death and danger. To Shauntal, it was a library of inspiration, and each tombstone was an unwritten book about any of the individuals buried inside their earthen covers. Nobody knew what happened at night, but Shauntal was the sort of person who lived for the unknown, who happened to be eccentric enough to be drawn to one's worst fears.
She didn't go to the graveyard alone. Of course not. She opened the ball containing her Chandelure, and it glowed over her shoulder like a purple constellation. As look-out and lantern, it allowed her to see and jot small notes on a pad she always carried with her. She never knew when an idea or a sentence might show up, and as an author and member of the Elite 4, she must always be a step ahead of the muse.
Suddenly, a tall shadow lurched from the tree, like it gained an extra limb. The gates creaked in their antiquated state, and the menacing branches swept across the graves like lightning from the ground. What chain of events set up this foggy night? Who

Ohhh, I love the atmosphere of this! <3 There's something I adore about the image of Shauntal peacefully spending her evenings in the graveyard, writing whatever tickles her fancy with only the light of the moon (and her trusty Chandelure) to guide her. You've painted such a pleasing picture in my head.
Oh, and Grimsley, I'm getting serious Tuxedo Mask vibes from him. Don't ask me why! It makes him seem even more cool and mysterious, hahaha.
(It's wonderful, isn't it? Consider this payback for getting me totally hooked on Imogen Heap!)
Hee! I thought Shauntal would be the type to be attracted to a gothic/traditional horror setting, since she seemed to have an affinity for what most other people would be afraid of, namely ghosts. :o

"In truth, I had already realized my feelings for you some time ago. I found them, but they'll never reach you. 'It's no use. Don't cry.' That's what I told myself." -supercell/ryo feat. nagi, The Story You Don't Know (Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari)
There was once a story about two people, Orihime and Hikoboshi, who fell in love with each other. But they're separated by the Milky Way and can only meet once a year.
Madotsuki didn't understand why there had to be a cosmos separating herself and her old friend. She made a lovely home for Poniko, safe from the Toriningen and the "cows" running rampant in other parts of her dreamscape Heaven. She promised to work hard, like Orihime weaving cloth for Tentei, and collected every effect she could to please her. She even flown to space to find the answers, yet she and Poniko remained as isolated as ever. Why?
Poniko never said a word to Madotsuki in her dreams. Perhaps it was for the best, as her vacant glare communicated everything her former friend didn't want to hear.
If it rains, Orihime and Hikoboshi have to wait another year. If you turn out the lights, there is a chance to make your own Milky Way bleed away...
Soon, the Rose Town inn would hold a yard sale. As a single mother, Gaz's mom couldn't afford remodeling, and she needed to make room for the weary travelers stopping by.
"Gaz, you can't keep your old toys anymore. Haven't you outgrown them? "But Mom--" "When is the last time you've played with Mario or Bowser? They're taking up space in your room." "That's not true! I still play with them. Really. I'm not throwing them out!" "You won't be throwing them out, Gaz. You've been spending a lot of time with video games and friends... back then, we didn't have the luxuries we did. There's many young Toads out there who can't afford what we have and need something to play with. Your dolls will be loved and enjoyed by other kids. It's better than being left alone in the attic, isn't it
