'Cause I'm broken when I'm open

You ever get that show/game/etc. you think you don't care about that much, but a certain character and/or ship latches onto you in spite of yourself?

It's happening with Samekichi and SameWada from Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP

P.S. Spooky's House of Jumpscares ftw.

'Latching'. That's exactly the right term!
(my OTP, if I ever had that sort of thing, comes from a cheesy, supremely obscure British TV show that was axed one season in for failing to grab a sufficient audience. But these two... I love them and want to write *all the things* about them. So yes, the feeling is entirely familiar.)

Sorry for the on-and-off lj presence. Hope you're doing well, and glad to hear you're getting enjoyement your playthrough! Reading your posts about Wadanohara makes me want to try it :)
(mostly because of the possibility of cool concepts. Plus I have more curiosity than taste, and cheesy dialogue and a monstruous cast of characters are things right up my alley...)

(Dark Heart/Christy is the only thing I remember from the second Care Bears movie; I saw it once as a kid and shipped them so hard. I think there was a time I rewatched the movie on YouTube or something, and thought, "Wow, I still ship it." I wonder if it had influenced my shipping tastes like Belle/Beast did)

It's okay, I've been going on-and-off as well. For fic bunny purposes, I'll probably end up playing through Wadanohara again. XD Yay for New Game+!

That's adorable!
And yes, pretty sure it might have, in some way. I'm typically not a shipping person, and I don't think I started to get invested in a fictional relationship until late-tweens-to-early-teens, but I still find echoes of the couples I liked then in the couples I like now (it's somehow fascinating/concerning, actually). It's been true for friends as well... It'd be fun if we were able to make a full-on survey on the topic, see if Early Ships are really that inescapable. :D

"What? You mean I can satisfy both my fanfic appetites and unrelenting completionism? Sign me up!"
Yay for New Game+, indeed. XD
