Bridge to Terabithia is coming out as a movie? The trailer is....so terribly misleading...unless they've changed the story considerably? I hope they didn't ruin it.

Has anyone read the manwha titles "Let Dai" by Sooyeon Won or "Not So Bad" by E. Hae? Are they any good?

Abareru Inu is a cute manga by Sakura Haiji, whom I know as the illustrator of ( Read more... )

*lol*... the novel you described? I have a manga title (short story) by Minase Misara that is eerily familiar (President secretary)... I can't help wondering if they took that and the writer tried to build a stronger story (but failed, anyway)...

Sounds bad, in any case...

Your description of Abereru inu, on the other hand, sounds cute... guess I'll give it a fast look...

Oh yes, isn't it? When I was reading this novel summary I couldn't help thinking about it. It's Itsuwari no Daishou (False Compensation) scanlated by hochuuami. About a father who kind of bought the uke and made him the secretary. The son oversee them having sex one day. After the father died the son bcame the new president and let him resume the position of the secretary and also having sex with him (bcause his duties is the same as before).

Bingo... that's the one (I wrote the wrong name :P)... very generic and as she draws the same characters over and over (I really LOVED her first novel (Empty heart) and I'm okay with Lies and Kisses, but I must say her art is repetitive to such a point that you need to check her character names at all times otherwise you get lost in which story of hers you're reading) I'm sure the novel would bring about nothing new under the sun...

I think I may have read it, but I can't really remember her one shots.

The novel is definitely nothing new under the sun, but that doesn't mean that it'd be bad. The bad thing is that it had completely unoriginal AND uninteresting characters to boot.

...what the hell did they DO to that book? O_____o;; none of that shit ever happened... it wasn't a fantasy book like the trailer makes it out to be. Just... whaaaat?

Oh god. >_> I don't know if I even want to see that movie after watching the trailer. 'Bridge to Terabithia' wasn't *about* a magical land or anything like they're making it seem. Disney's just trying to continue cashing on this fantasy craze in their movies right now.

Bleh. It's all well and good if you're going to be faithful to the book, but for crying out loud, don't mangle it just to cater to an audience! That was a brilliant book; if you're going to make it a movie, at least do it justice.

I was a bit puzzled as to how they were going to make a movie from that book and keep true to it without making it "exciting." Now I see that they went for the "exciting" angle. I want to see what people say about the movie before even thinking about going to see it, it looks so bad.
