I love the manga so far, but the anime definitely improved on the train incident. Hughes wasn't in that in the manga. ;__; **sniffle.** He was one of the best things about the episode. XD ( Read more... )

Stacey: **hijacks!** I know I love Runi! He's such a cool and deep character that I find it impossible not to take an interest in him. Its the same with Khu, in a way. ^^ I love both of them, and they really do make great additions to your stories!

I vaguely remember anything about the FMA manga. I read it over a long spand of time . . . during finals I think. X_x;;; But I know what you mean. There are elements I like from both parts. Kinda how I'm feeling about Hellsing at the moment. The anime really went about with a freakishly awesome bang. But I love the direction the original manga took. You will never find a better villian classic than a Nazi. I think that's what makes the idea that the new Hellsing anime. It's kinda like getting it both ways. XP Hooray for that manga-ka since he was willing to put that much effort to see that the new one gets made.

Yay! I've had the commentary running through my head. XD;; **thinking about watching it again** I do so very much love good commentaries.

And Alexander is adorable. Hell, even Dartz is failing to deny it. XP He tries so very hard to keep the annoyed act up ( ... )

Whether or not the colorful language is accurate is a matter of opinion, I suppose. Words in Japanese can be translated in a lot of different ways. There are some words in Japanese that would actually not be that bad to Americans, but would seriously offend a Japanese person. Words like that might be intensified by a translator in order to capture the same effect.

I agree with you on developing people in RP. I have found that it is very difficult to develop a character's personality without having RPed them first. When you RP with another person, it makes things a lot more random, giving you a better chance to experiment with how your character reacts to certain people and situations. XD

I see. That's interesting about the translations. I would imagine it's true, too.

**nods.** And even with canon characters, it's better to RP them before writing stories about them. I'm pretty sure I did that with the bikers.

I love OCs in anything, if they are done well. Like any canon character, they have to be well crafted. In essence, it is not the character but the writer. I remember writing a REALLY long guide to writing a YGO OC once. It included romance (ha ha) and everything. I was gonna post it in my journal but my friend said her bro deleted it off her janime account and that was the only copy >

Blah, too bad it got deleted. It sounds like it was interesting. XD

Yeah, a good OC is a tricky thing to accomplish. I hate it when any OC suddenly takes the spotlight and the canon characters are all pushed to the side, though. There must be a balance.
