So now there's a virus thing that affects many different kinds of devices with Bluetooth on, including Android smartphones and tablets. I have an Android tablet and Bluetooth was on to connect the keyboard. I've turned it off and am trying to find a patch that will work for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, but it looks like there isn't a relevant one yet ( Read more... )

I think the person who ever invented ransomware, there has to be a special place of Hell reserved for him/her when the time comes.

I'm sorry, and I wish you the best of luck, which is a cold comfort when dealing with a computer virus.

LOL! That is a pleasing image, I must say.

Thank you! Hopefully my poor little tablet is okay. So far it hasn't acted weird, but it said that some varieties of the crummy thing aren't even noticeable.

It's not a virus per se, but it is a hack of an exploit that can travel like a virus. Six of one, half a dozen of the other... It's still a major pain and, indeed, whoever came up with it has a sick mind, ugh.

Ahh yeah, I didn't think virus was quite the right definition, but I was too frustrated to go look it up again. Definitely disgusting in any case.
