One of these days, I really should watch Gravity Falls, as a lot of the 2017 revival's producers worked on that (I'm told 2017 Webby is based on one of the Falls characters
( ... )
I've seen a little of it, but not enough to compare the characters. I thought Mabel was actually a little quieter/more restrained than Webby, honestly. But if everyone else thinks otherwise, it's probably that I don't know Mabel very well

Huey's probably the least problematic of the three, but between Dewey's daredevil idiocy and Louie's not always best moral barometer (as he was telling Webby to lie in Episode 2), I don't think we'll suffer on plot, or, in Dewey's case, blundering into it potentially
( ... )
Yeah, Huey definitely seemed the most normal/nice. I loved his concern over Launchpad when no one else cared.
Hmm, good point. Yeah, I remember it happening a little bit in those later episodes, now that you mentioned it. Darkwing humor might very well fit the new series, but I still don't want to see it happen. I didn't bat an eye as a child, but these days, I always try to look away when I see something Warner Brothersish about to happen while watching Darkwing.
I remember that when I was reading about the comics years ago, yeah. I kind of liked that the 87 Glomgold wasn't as murderous, because I always find it intriguing if a villain has some goodness/some lines he won't cross/etc. I got kind of a plunnie last week of wondering how he'd react if something he did seemed to kill someone, Scrooge or someone else in the cast. I think if it was Scrooge, even if he didn't regret it on a moral level, he'd eventually get bored without the challenge. LOL.
We'll see. As I said, mixed feelings from me. But if most people liked it, then yeah, I suppose the reboot has been successful. I'm cynical and don't have as much hope for Launchpad's treatment, but again, yeah, we'll see.

Totally. Sigh. They should release the rest!

Disney just proved that they could pull off a reboot. I mean why not, they're also planning on rebooting Darkwing Duck
and I'm sure Launchpad will be treated better as the series goes on
