Friendships and crime-fighting

So while I was going through stuff tagging it recently, I stumbled on that entry where I was comparing Napoleon and Illya's interaction to Jim and Arte's. That was before I'd seen The Summit Five Affair, so I didn't even really believe there was a friendship between Napoleon and Illya and in any case, if there was, I preferred Jim and Arte's insult

I definitely went in looking for Napoleon-Illya interaction more than the adventure (though that was the cherry on top), so I absorbed pretty much each and every look they gave each other and saw it right away. It also helps that Summit Five was the second ep I saw, too (thanks for that rec, btw

Yeah, it would definitely make a difference to go in looking for the friendshippiness from the start. I wanted a good spy show ... and Richard. (I started with disc one.) And yes, seeing probably the most blatantly awesome friendship episode right away would certain help too

It has been. I'm contemplating withdrawing from the Neuroscience course, but Mom doesn't want me to, ugh. Especially since it means I would need to take a class next semester after all.

Sure! One interesting thing someone in the fandom said once was that everyone sees the characters a little bit differently, yet somehow everyone's visions of the characters generally seem to sound IC.

Ugh. It would be awful to have to take a class you've ended up not liking. But that would be frustrating to withdraw after so much work in it too, especially when there's not much time left now.
