I can't sleep cuddled :) So, from time to time, I feel the pain of the insomnia just like your character that is sleep deprived.
But, unlike him, sometimes I demand to be un-cuddled LOL because in my relationship I'm the only one with sleeping issues :)

Oh i know that so well. I just can't breathe with a arm or hand on my chest or my belly or around my shoulders. And my spouse can't sleep without the tiniest touch- so i compromise to entwining fingers or feet...*lol*
