Summary: It's Christmas and Jensen finds himself opening glittery presents in front of the fireplace. It's kinda cheesy, but he kinda loves it.

Jensen squinted at the package in his hands. The left side of his face was growing a little warm as the heat from the fireplace radiated through the room. It was a little cheesy to have Christmas next to the tree while sitting on the plush carpet in front of the fireplace. But it was how Jared had planned it - and dear god, that guy had everything about their holidays planned to a degree that would make any step-ford wife go green from envy.

“Why is there glitter on my Christmas present? I might be gay, but I'm not that gay, dude.”

Jared was biting his lip trying - unsuccessfully - to stop the grin that was spreading across his face. “It wasn't me, I swear! I had it wrapped at the shop and the lady had that big can on fake spray snow...”

“That's not snow. That's white and silver glitter,” Jensen said with a chuckle as he tried to unwrap his present without getting the glittery snow all over his fingers and failed.

His boyfriend simply shrugged as the grin spread even farther. “Just shut up and open it. It's not brain surgery, you know?”

“Yeah, yeah.”

When the wrapping paper finally fell to the floor, Jensen found himself pulling the lid off a simple cream-colored box. Once he saw what was inside, he started laughing so hard that Jared reached out to steady him, afraid he would topple over into the fireplace.

“Socks! How thoughtful of you, Jay. Now my feet will be all warm and cozy while my coworkers make fun of me for having Santa Clause's Christmas cottage on my ankles.”

Chuckling Jared nodded. “I knew you would love those... try them on?”

Raising an eyebrow, Jensen pulled the socks from their box and jumped when something fell into his lap with a light metallic tinkle. “What the...?” He stopped mid sentence when he saw what exactly had fallen from his ugly Christmas socks. It was a key, simple silvery steel with a small tag on it that read the address of the house they were currently sitting in: Jared's house.

“Move in with me?” There was a grin on Jared's face still, but the edges of it were trembling with nervousness.

Jensen didn't even have to think about it and nodded. “Okay, so this is much better than a pair of ugly socks.”

“They're cute... try them on!” Jared said with a lunatic grin as he leaned over to put a kiss on his boyfriend's lips.

“Yeah, but if I did that I'd violate our no-socks-during-sex rule,” Jensen answered with a knowing grin as he pulled the other man down with him.

“Okay... you can try them on later.”

Pulling off his shirt, Jensen looked at the mess of wrapping paper and fake glittery snow around them.

“By the time we're done we will have glitter stuck everywhere, you know that right?”

“Yeah... so?”
