I'm going to just send the story along to the BBB and letters to the higher ups. I looked at the contract and at the time made sure it was what I wanted with her, but apparently she just BSed me.
Do you mind briefly recounting what happened to you with Shapes for me? You didn't get screwed over with it, but having another instance of trickery is helpful when sending along the letter.
Also, thanks for your advice, Sarah. I don't always know what to do in these situations (since I haven't had a credit card and all), so I really appreciate your advice. For example, if my mom hadn't mentioned it before, I wouldn't have known that the credit card companies would actually honor the owner's insistence.
