I've put the heating on

I'm sitting here in my warm tracky bums and a jumper, but it's still not enough. The heating is on. It's cold outside, and windy, and raining on and off.

And it's August in England.

It has brightened up here. It's still a bit windy, but it is warm enough to walk out without a jacket and it is dry - horrah. Hopefully the better weather will spread your way!

It doesn't look promising. This is a frost hollow, though, so it's well known for being colder than other places.

Wow! And I thought our dip in the 60s earlier this week was abnormally cool for New England.

In your numbers it's 60s today, and will drop into 50s by Sunday before warming up again. Supposed to be low 40s overnight for a couple of nights.

Wow. I was just thinking how lovely it was to have a crisp morning for a change instead of a sultry one.

I put the heating on yesterday. I was okay, but Mum was freezing.

That's the same as here - only it's winter. We've been having nothing but rain, and it's wonderful. The dams are filling up, some are overflowing. Lakes and reservoirs have got more water in them now than they have in years. Love it!!
