It was really sobering reading those comments. While I thought a lot of what was said was hateful and insensitive, there was a grain of truth in what was discussed ( ... )

Yeah notice I didn't even COMMENT on the JHud situation cause I was like, iono nothing like the police.

Exactly! No one is gonna save us. Nobody cares about the black people in this cracka run country (I'm sorry bout that but shit y'all know it's true!!!).

Talking with KN, he told me about how his some former associates would simply watch men beat up women and they (former associates) would sit there and do nothing, even justify such behavior. He said he snapped, cut them off. Said if you won't even say anything, you're just as bad as they are.

We are still slaves, ain't that a shame?

This is a terrible and tragic story. I wish people would take all the energy they're spending spitting vitriol at each other and work together to make a society that supports families where people respect and love each other ( ... )

Naw this is a problem for HUMANS, pardon if I didn't note that before. Just infuriates me to keep seeing it in my group.

Yes that mentality, it's got to go. I was JUST commenting on a forum how we need to quit knocking each other down at the drop of a dime and praising bullshit.

I ty regarding my twin...know a chick tired as hell.

Right nobody wants to step up. And those that do, they can't do it all themselves. I know I threw up my hands this year on a bunch of stuff.

Yes it's really hard when it's your own family or loved ones who are pulling that same shit.

You're right that if we step up solely as individuals, we almost always get swamped under it. That's why people have to work together on it. If I get any more insight or practical suggestions, I'll let you know.

My own small contribution is to make sure the dance company I'm in is front and center supporting Domestic Violence Prevention, but I know that's a start not an end.

Don't let the bad stuff suck you down.

My hope has seen been renewed, I just proceed with caution so I'm not a complete fool again.
