That just hit me, right in the gut...what the wings did to Dean, and how it affected Ben to have Dean changed, and...just ow and wow and...

That just hit me, right in the gut...what the wings did to Dean, and how it affected Ben to have Dean changed YES. I love wingfic, and I'd intended to write something about the utter, insane, over-the-top hotness of Ben/Dean-with-wings. But these two boys keep surprising me. In scene two, I didn't expect Ben to get so angry, and here, I didn't expect Dean to be so miserable. But they were, and I'm very glad I didn't force anything.

Oh, dayum, that was beautiful. Ben's reactions to, and observations on Dean are heartrending, from how flummoxed he is that Dean told his father about them, to Ben having to witness Dean in this state. And then the ritual to restore him hurts Dean further, and Ben has to endure that, too.

This was a whole lot of Oh, Ben and Oh, Dean for me. :)

Ben tells Dean "love you" (and not "I love you" which I think means something) twice, and Dean doesn't say I love you back, but his love for Ben is clearly there anyway. Also, I like how you thought out Dean's predicament, the caught between elementals, what a cool way to give Dean wings.

And then the ritual to restore him hurts Dean further, and Ben has to endure that, too. Ben just hates it, being so helpless - nothing in his life has prepared him to stand by and watch someone be hurt.

Ben tells Dean "love you" (and not "I love you" which I think means something) twice, and Dean doesn't say I love you back, but his love for Ben is clearly there anyway. Dean is . . . skittish about the words, but he makes sure Ben knows. As for the way Ben says it, I think it's what Dean will let him get away with. Less formal, less of a pronouncement; just them, can be passed off as a joke, all of which Ben knows, but now he likes the intimacy of it, like this phrasing is theirs alone.

Also, I like how you thought out Dean's predicament, the caught between elementals, what a cool way to give Dean wings. Yay! Thanks!
