. . . you feel you could reach up and stir them around. (Yes, I watched It Happened One Night for the mumbleth time while cleaning and reorganizing my kitchen this morning.) I recommend EVERYTHING by Frances Hardinge, but I will admit to be particularly fond of the two Mosca Mye books (Fly By Night and Fly Trap) and a stand-alone: The Lost Conspiracy/Gullstruck Island.

The S/B story is only due in August, I think, so plenty of time for me to mess it up! But I would like to try to build a framework for it this weekend so that the isolated scenes I keep thinking of will have some place to go.

I feel you on the cold, pet. It is ridiculous here too.

Excellent. :) Always on the lookout for new books.

Heee! I don't think you'll mess it up. I do love those boys. Working on an AU, myself, that i really need to *work on*, sheesh.

We got 'wintry mix' last night, which basically means a glaze of grainy ice. More of it east of us, which is the direction I'm supposed to drive tonight to get my daughter from the airport, two hours away.

I'm thinking...i need to do something else. Like get her a hotel. Arrgh.

Yes, get her a room! You don't need to be braving the elements for so many hours!
