I listened to three audiobooks of Richard Armitage reading Georgette Heyer novels on my way to work in the autumn. I can definitely see him as any of the male leads, so dark, so swoonworthy.

Oooh! I've heard one - the one with Horatia - that he's done, and it was very good. I wish there were more of a tradition in America of radio plays or even audiobooks. But yes, RA is definitely swoonworthy - "gorgeously stern" is how I put it, I think, when raving about N&S to the friend with whom I'd read the book.

I want someone taller for Cyrano. Completely irrationally. (Also is Freeman also too old?) Ben Wishaw with an amazing fake nose?

I kind of want to cast Cho and Karen Gillian in that Heyer adaptation. Gettin' it right this time!

I hear you on both the age and height, but something about the self-deprecation makes me think that MF could deliver the lines beautifully. Also, the Cyrano I saw was in no way attractive but he pulled off the magnetism quite nicely. Heretically enough, I don't know if I've ever seen Ben Wishaw in anything. Wait, Bright Star, years ago. Hmmm. Seems too young and nerdcakey?

Oooh, I see Selfie lives on for you! So glad!
