"You and Me and the City Makes Three" (Sports Night: Dan/Dana, R)

Oct 18, 2012 23:07

Happy birthday to my dearest darlingest tenaciousmetoo! I actually started two other stories for the occasion, but when I got your card, I realized what I really ought to do was write something in honor of the city we both call home. Anyway, I hope your day was wonderful, and we'll celebrate once you're home.

(This story picks up where The Night Is Still Read more... )

fic, sports night, birthday

See, Isaac is awesome because he's hilarious and insightful at the same time - I love that he approves of these two crazy kids getting together!

Ahahahaha! You had me at Either that or the backing band for They Might Be Giants, and then you had to throw in the 2 orders of potato salad with pickles and capers, finishing with the carrot cake with pineapple real cream cheese? Killing me.

Happy Bday, bb. And thank you. I read the 1st part and then came here....

You're really going to get me to watch this, aren't you? <3

Given that you know John Linnell, the decision about whether to include the TMBG line became a very easy one. And yes, mmmmm, I'm never above a little food porn.

You don't have to watch all of it, but you have to watch enough to understand that Josh Charles's Dan Rydell is one of the all-time great TV boyfriends, that Felicity Huffman's Dana Whitaker is a flat-out fantastic character, and that Robert Guillaume's Isaac Jaffe is the boss everyone wishes they had.
