Hi, everybody!

I managed to do a little more writing. Since I've been writing a lot of het and gen recently, I thought I'd try some slash - some very mild baby slash, actually, with two fourteen-year-old boys. Small stores wouldn't sell a kid Dean's age cough syrup, so he'd made do with cheap popsicles. "Not to me," Sam said, looking away. I love this, it says everything about Sam and Dean and the way they were brought up and what they mean to each other. It gave me an intense heart-clench on reading it.

because Pete's mouth tasted sweet with syrup and somehow dark too, like a cave with a secret pool in it, a cave where you could go to be alone and think your thoughts, This is perhaps the best description of a kiss I've ever read. I went "YES that is just what it is like to kiss someone". So, so, lovely.

I love reading your writing: in some ways it is simple and elegant and then it just smacks me in the face with the awesome.

Thank you so much! It's odd, writing Winchesters again - that cough syrup/popsicle thing came out of nowhere but as soon as it popped into my head, it was like Dean and Sam had never left. And I'm so pleased that the kiss/cave line worked for you because I was quite pleased with it too. And you're too kind with the generous words.

I don't know if you ever had any intention to write it, but I really wanted to see either Dean or John, or both's, reaction to Sam admitting he's in a relationship with Pete. I was interested in how long Sam would let it go on before he was totally honest. I'm friending you, btw, just to keep track of all the other stuff you're up to.

I wasn't planning on writing the coming-out to Dean and John scene(s) in drabble form - I think that would require a new fic where I wouldn't be worrying about word counts. But since I'm unlikely to write a full-length Supernatural fic in the near future, I might start thinking about how to handle a subject that big in the tiny form of drabbles.
