OMG, I have missed your boys too!! I just...I love this. Love the sense of family and protectiveness, and of reunions that both hurt and are sharp and also end with the pieces falling in together, all their edges smoothed, or beginning to be. *wibble* Gorgeous!! Yay for more Ben and Dean (and Sam and John!)!!

Oh, I really like that you called this the reunion scene, because that's what the scene feels like to me upon rereading. And Dean has been without Sam for so long, and has suffered for it.

*leaptackles* I'm all about the little confrontations here \o/ Easy to see Sam watching Dean touch Ben and losing it, and I will love you forever for Ben calling Sam out on Dean.

I was trying to figure out how much Ben would say to Sam - in front of Dean, for his own sake, etc. - and I just went with what felt right. Because I don't want Ben to be a martyr; I want him to be someone who was totally devastated by how he'd been treated, and who'd stand up and say so.
