So what did I actually do in 2014?
I kept my writing streak going, which was the biggest victory. (Other things were written or begun or continued, which haven't yet been posted.) From the looks of it, a challenge is what it takes to get me going, but that doesn't feel quite true - it's more like I know what I want to write, and knowing that someone wants to read the fic as much as I want to write it enables me to churn something out and post it instead of worrying over it endlessly, as is my wont. Hmm, what else? I found two totally new fandoms, in which I wrote extensively - The Mindy Project (about which I have complicated feelings) and Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (for which I have uncomplicated but sincere adoration). I discovered how much I like writing for sitcom fandoms. I devoured a one-season wonder, Selfie, which I highly encourage everyone to check out - not only will you get to see the unspeakably lovely John Cho in action as a romantic lead, but you'll get to see some of the deepest and truest feelings (good, bad, and ugly) caught on film, totally belying the categorization of the sitcom. If I could bring back any TV shows just at the point where they left off, it would be Selfie and Pushing Daisies for sure.
I hope we all get to do amazing things in 2015!
