or guys studying german:

REISE can mean 'passage' as in "the act of passing from one state to the next " (state not in the sense of states of america obviously) or does it just mean journey?

I just don't want to write idiocies like I do with english.

Well I'm from germany I hope I can answer this for you :3

But I have to think quite a while about that. Reise is a word we mostly use to describe the act of traveling, so as you said it means trip or journey.

What exactly do you want to say? XD

ehh figures *is ashamed*
indeed I wanted a single word for "the act of passing from one state to the next " , maybe something like 'transitional' in english, but in a philosophical way . (I hope I make sense ;_;)

thanks a lot for helping!

Ah I see XD. I think Übergang or Uebergang would describe it. We use it when we want to say that something is changing, could be anything. It means change, passage, crossing...

Also possible is Wechsel or Wandlung.

But you know what... if you want to have a beautiful meaning and want something that let ppl think a bit you can also use Reise =). It's a bit of a metaphor then, would be nice too =3.

ah, that's helpful, thank you very much! I really like how Reise sounds, I was hoping I could put it to use :)
Thanks again!
