Hopefully I'l be around a lot more! Just need to get into the habit of checking here each day.
Ah, I haven't actually read any other reviews/opinions about the end of the series (that's what comes from being so far behind with it and trying to avoid spoilers). I assume that means the reception wasn't unanimously great - but honestly, although I can certainly see where/why it could be criticised, at the same time it never really pretended to be anything other than what it is. I admit I was surprised it didn't go down the route of merging Kagura and Amata (and Vega and Altair) but like I said, I got exactly what I wanted there. No idea what fans of the original Aquarion series would make of this, though. I still need to watch that.
Ah, your Cayenne and Shrade icon... Those two... I saw it coming a mile away, but... :(

Nice to get your thoughts on the EVOL ending, it's refreshing to hear some positive feels.
"It was still so gratifying for me to see that in the end he was not portrayed as incomplete or lacking"
Yes, this. <3

I liked Aquarion EVOL enough, it was fun... but when I sat back and thought about it, I just couldn't stand how girls were portrayed.
Oh, Shrade. ;_; That scene with Cayenne with the blood notes was a Too Soon moment.
