Another Year Has Passed...

So, I'm 24 now. Doesn't feel any different. I didn't do much with my day (the only productive thing I did was finally write that rec post for Shiki in an attempt to prod people towards watching it), but that was how I wanted it. I still feel tired. I still feel like I don't have enough time to do what I really want to do, which is sink into fandom

Ah, I really know how you feel, I never have enough time and/or energy to do what I really want to do (most of which is fandom related - ah, that sounds glorious), and then I blame it all on school and/or depression. It's a vicious cycle *sigh*

I don't mind the cold or snow so much, I just dislike winter because it's grey and dreary. However there is a limit to how cold and sick I can put up with being...

Ahaha, I constantly feel bitter about not being able to do what I want to. I'm not very good at being realistic about what I can achieve with my time, nor am I particularly good at accepting that I HAVE to work/clean/cook etc and should just deal with it like an adult. Uh. It's definitely a problem that never ends.

This year, it's mainly the cold that's bothering me, but last year the season in general was not a great one for me and yeah, I guess some of that is to do with how dull the days are (one thing I still dislike is getting up in the dark and coming home from work in the dark...where did my day go?).

And yeah, I think bitter is the right word to describe it, I resent having to do things I don't want to. I suck at time management, and then I hate it when I feel I've wasted my day. I'm gonna be an awful adult orz.

Ah, yeah, that's what annoys me too! I have SADs and find getting up in the dark really depressing, so it's a bad start to the day. Though at least when it snows everything seems a bit lighter.

I have been keeping warm, but then I overheat and get uncomfortable. The most annoying thing is I haven't been sleeping well. Plenty of lemsip too.

I know I shouldn't be complaining as much as I am (and the Polish people I work with keep telling me THIS IS NOT THAT COLD), but I am totally useless at regulating my body temperature in cold weather and tend to become an icicle very quickly.

It won't take long to read, there's only a two-part oneshot and then four chapters of the series scanlated so far but it is SO GAY. I haven't seen any fic for it yet, though (not really surprised but it's still sad). Oh, I hope you end up enjoying Shiki if you do try it, it does lend itself to compulsive watching. :)

Do you use BitTorrent to download anime? If so, you can get Shiki here (I use umee's subs as they have the highest rating on AniDB, they seem fine to me).

Yeah, the first two parts were a one-shot, I guess to see whether there was any interest in it...so glad it continued but I guess a few things had to be changed for the sake of adapting it to a longer storyline. :)

I love torrents but I've been using them for so long I've forgotten the process of learning how it works (although I can vaguely remember that it seemed very complicated but in the end turned out to be quite simple, as you don't really need to know much about a lot of the functions). I almost always search for anime/manga/anything Japanese in origin at TokyoTosho (you don't need to search with the actual program you use to run torrents, you just need to search a torrent site online and click the torrent to open it).

I want to re-read the series every time I catch myself thinking of it...and because it's such a short one, it's easy enough to read again in one sitting. :D

Ah, I'm okay, it's just for December. :)
