Re: the gloves, have you looked online? drugstore.com usually has stuff like that.

I hadn't, but thank you. I just find it hard to believe that nowhere I looked sold what I'd be able to pick up no problem at a supermarket at home.

You mentioned you've found Target, did you check there? I admit I've never looked for gloves like that, so I have no idea, but I do know I've gotten some medical supplies at my local Target that other stores didn't carry.

America is weird though.

Yep, but I looked in the housewares (next to the normal, latex-filled gloves), not pharmacy. I have this dread that if I asked someone for them, I'd be pointed at disposable nitrile gloves.
