An ego boosting post means it's currently at rock bottom

I know this might be really hard to believe, but I have this self-esteem issue. A major self-esteem issue in which I have problems admitting that stuff I do might be good.

You so need to do this. Seriously.

Make sure you include some of your posts about gender and about your life in science, which I know is kind of a no-brainer since you write about those two topics regularly, but I never fail to give those in particular a careful read.

If I wasn't in the midst of moving hell, I'd mention specific ones, and I'll still try, but even if I don't: you should apply for this.

ALL of your entries are good. In fact, they're a bit too good. They tend to make me think of my own journal and see what a load of drivel I write in it!

I have similar issues with selling myself and being able to value my work. I tend not to dwell on it now. If the stuff is good then it generally sells itself. Which is good because I am completely useless at self-promotion.
