Further proof that bankers are vampires

There is no wood at all in the entire Southgate branch of Nat West. I know this, because at lunchtime I had a financial review with a bank manager about what I'm doing, my plans for banking &s &s, and along with a lot of him being really impressed with how sensible I was (No, I'm living like this, yes I do plan to get a mortgage but not right now. Cute post! I just re-read your user-info, and see the pirates/vampires have a major franchise in you (or vice versa). And I sympathize with your hostility to bankers -- though I note, in the Colonies here, our banks do abound in wood. Starting with ersatz Olde Englishe wainscotting and half-gables and beams galore!

Took me a minute to get the Italian restaurants allusion -- but *snigger* it IS apt! (They'd also want to steer clear of "stakehouses.")

Vampires aren't that exciting. It's not like they're werewolves or anything cool like that: they're just very very silly.

But I don't have a hostility towards them or vampires! I just don't want to give them excessive amounts of money and/or blood.It's not like they're (*shudder*) ninjas or anything.
