An excursion is where you learn new things by taking a trip to another place. In this case, a hospital.

But, we will only be going if the hospital staff say we are allowed to come.

Oh... that will be fun! I hope they say yes.

They might not. We'll have to see.

Now may not be the best time...

I see. Of course, I was not planning for this to happen in the immediate future.

If the timing is your only objection, would you let me know when would be more suitable?

Well, with infection rate at its current level...

This is partly why I consider an education about health and illness vital for my students. I will teach them regardless, but I consider a practical education extremely important. You'd be surprised at how much more someone will take care of their personal hygiene after seeing the results of disease first-hand.

But I would be happy to wait until after the infection rates have died down. But if you do not want any intrusions at all, we won't impose on your time.

My shock disks? Yeah she mentioned that- I can make a few more but I really need to go on a scrap run to get more materials.

How many do you think you can make? Ideally, I'd like the entire class to have them.

Ideally? Well...I know I can make at least a dozen. I only have a single emerald now to power them, so I have to be careful.

That would be enough for everyone to have one.

Emerald? You need an gemstone to power these devices?

A field trip to the hospital? Perhaps when things calm down a little.

I wasn't intending to have this in the immediate future.

However, another member of the hospital staff implied that a visit would be impossible at any time, thanks to poor sanitary conditions. Which is a pity. The children could have learned much.

That's very true, however, there shouldn't be any reason a doctor couldn't come to the class room for a health lesson on the human body. If from what I remember, they did it in Earth schools when the students reached a certain age as a preparation for puberty.

Puberty is not the only thing I want my students to learn about. Particularly in the current circumstances.

Do you know of any doctors who would like to come speak with my class?

Now isn't the time I'm afraid.

It seems no time will be the time, from what I've been told. And I certainly wasn't planning this for today. School excursions take time to plan.

But it has been suggested to me that a viable alternative would be to have a doctor come speak to the class. Would you be willing to do that? When you have the time, of course.

Aye, pick a date in next week.

Perhaps next Tuesday, then?

[[ooc: I'll give you a poke over the weekend sometime - but, we wouldn't need to actually log this or anything. In fact, that would be kinda crazy to do, seeing as Susan has so many students. But yes, mostly likely we can just do a "everyone assume Kureha came and said/did this", unless you'd prefer something else]]
