The Big Read

Lifted from lizzy_copycat . Apparently, it's the BBC's Top 100, from 2003. Which I don't care, because it means Stephenie Meyer's trite will not be on the list. Although it means Dan Brown isn't on here either, and I'm still undecided whether he's a genius or just someone banking on conspiracy theories to sell. At least his mythology doesn't involve any ( Read more... )

allow me to make up your mind for you: dan brown = junk. (he spins a good tale, but only ONE good tale, and his writing isn't all that good. but, like stephenie meyer, there's no denying he found a gold mine and milked it for all he could, and who can blame him?)

it's funny how many books we have in common. :) but how can you not have finished p&p?? that had better be because you're in the middle of reading it right now! lol.

ps. your presence is requested over at _sw here and here. there are no spoilers in those two posts (or in the comments, so far) so you're perfectly safe. we're just having an election, and minors get to vote, too. ;P

Yeah, you're right. I still can't believe what possessed me to get Dan Brown's and Stephenie Meyer's box set of books. D': Perfect waste of money that could have been better spent on real literature. Definitely not buying Lost Symbol or Midnight Sun. You're welcome to kill me if I do.

I thought that too as I went down the list. :) And yes, I will finish p&p soon. It's just that I got distracted because the miniseries is available on YT. I'm alternating between Sherlock Holmes, Hamlet and P&P at the moment. Sadly, I've got a short attention span when it comes to classics, as you can see from the amount of italics. :|

Also, I've gone to both posts and left my vote. And har har har about being a minor. ¬_¬

Yay! We twos are not typical Malaysians!

By the way, is the reason you want to read Guards! Guards! and Night Watch because you like Vimes? Or Carrot?

¬_¬ Not really, I want to read it because it's by Terry Pratchett. And I actually have no idea who you're talking about.

Lol. Bummer. Okay then. Was just wondering since those two books happen to have both those characters in it. XD
