In some ways, Lee would be better suited to be in Helo's shoes, except that Lee doesn't have the same degree of adaptibility as Helo. Helo can, will adjust to his new situation because he must; Lee would simply go mad and want/need to die becausde this scenario would be too horrific for him to endure.
I think you're right. Lee in isolation like that wouldn't reach out, wouldn't let anyone make a connection to him, would just pull away and lose himself. Helo keeps trying to reach out, struggling to figure out substitutes for what he's lost, and that keeps him alive. Oh, BOYS.

Everything is intricate and yet seamless, organic. I love this bit best, and not just because it's hot -
I saw you, on the bridge, one hand pressed flat, connecting you to him. You standing like a statue in a holy place, naked and pale and light dancing over your skin, your other hand between your legs
- but also how it totally works, blending the alien and the familiar and the primal.
And I have to say, when I first saw the summary - [brainsinajar+Helo+Lee+Six] - I thought it was likely to be Lee in the jar, but in a brilliant twist you totally sold the idea of Helo (most gregarious and social of Adama's children) in there, not to mention Helo + a Six who is unlike her sisters and yet very much in-character.
Well done. Brava!
