Oh, darling, this is lovely. THANK YOU.

I just love the teenage kids meeting, and Scott wishing Reed was a mutant so he could come home with them, and Reed being the closest thing to a friend he has outside work, which is also home and. . .

I don't know, maybe my favorite part is that Reed is the one guy on earth who could make Scott Summers NOTICE a lack of irony.

This is lovely. It's sad, of course, but it has this edge to it, this lighter thread of implied optimism, and it makes the story layered and absolutely wonderful. I ache for Scott here, and his loss, and the way he has to share his loss with everyone else in the school.
