I don't know, maybe my favorite part is that Reed is the one guy on earth who could make Scott Summers NOTICE a lack of irony.
This is lovely. It's sad, of course, but it has this edge to it, this lighter thread of implied optimism, and it makes the story layered and absolutely wonderful. I ache for Scott here, and his loss, and the way he has to share his loss with everyone else in the school.
