Still meandering my way through the songs of The Rising. This one wandered away from the lyrics I chose as a prompt. Oh, well.
Dan & Natalie, set five years post-show. And there's a Mathlete reference for
karabair, because I care. ;)
Would love to hear opinions on how well I got the voices down. Sorkin-character voices are hard.

Their eyes meet and there's a long and strange moment, electric and live in a way that once would have thrilled and terrified him in equal measure, would've sent him running to Casey to analyze it into shreds. But he has changed some, like he said, and so he just smiles back at her, enjoys the shiver and the charge, and lets it go where it will.
I would really like to take this paragraph home with me and marry it, but I will settle for flailing like a madwoman and reading the fic again.

Awww, of course he can't. I love this. . .I can't really comment on how Sorkinish it sounds, or anything; I haven't watched the show forever, but it's a lovely piece of writing, and Dan needs to come to Virginia and be my boyfriend. (I don't have a Dan icon, so the best I can do is Will, who also needs to be my boyfriend).
