Tell The Wolves I'm Home, Carol Rifka Brunt. Beautifully written, a sibling relationship so sharp and real that it made me hurt all over, painfully true to its mid-1980s setting. Related to that last one, wow, is there a lot of AIDS in this book. I enjoyed it but I wouldn't really recommend it.

This was an intensely depressing book.
I read this based on all the critical squee going on a while back... And I can only assume the people who adore this book are made out of tougher emotional stuff than I am.
