My weekend offline went pretty well. There was a while today where I was like "MAYBE I'LL JUST STAY OFF THE INTERNET FOREVER," but then I came to my senses.

What I decided, thinking about the movie that night, is that they had two different scripts for two different fight(er) movies and then they made a mash-up of the two movies and made the two protagonists brothers to tie it together. All the characters came from Stock Characters anyway, so, you know... Easy fix.

I am now ALL OUT OF NEW COMMUNITY to watch. This makes me both gleeful and sad.

That is the only way the movie makes sense, yes.

WOE. I need to watch the season premiere still. Come to me, Hulu.

I read a bunch on the Mitfords last year when I was thinking about filling a yuletide request. Couldn't quite make a story gel for the family but they certainly are fascinating. The collected letters are hard to put down. I also read a lot of Jessica's work because of her prolific American career leaving an easy-to-follow trail in the libraries.

Collected letters would be a good place to start, maybe. I'm going to do some Amazon browsing and see what's Kindle-ready.

I definitely want to read some other perspectives on them! I feel like Lovell was so defensive it skewed a lot of stuff.

LOLOL WAYS MARTIAL ARTISTS LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Anyway, I'm glad your internet sabbatical went well(ish). Maybe Medco heard you wondering about Lexapro PMS treatments! (Don't do that without consulting your doctor.)

IT COULD WORK. YOU DON'T KNOW.

:(

I'm just baffled, because I swear the bottle I'm currently working on says "Refills: 0" and yet this new bottle arrived in the mail.

I love the Mitfords so so much! I read a bunch of their memoirs (and Nancy's novels) a few years back and just fell in love. Hons and Rebels and Love in a Cold Climate are my two favourites, but I never could get into the Sisters bio just because the author seemed to TOTALLY MISS the Mitfords' sense of humour.

She kept insisting that she gets their sense of humor and nobody else does, but I suspect she is deeply, deeply wrong.

She is oh so very wrong. I would link Dr. Cox's wrong song to illustrate just how wrong, but then I'd be earwormed.
