Fanart for "Away With The Boys In The Band"
My art is by impromptu_love, and it's lovely. This is Mikey getting ready for a show, doing her makeup and all serious and getting into her show mindset. I was so very very gleeful when I got my e-mail with this attached, and the notes were really great to read after staring at the fic for so long. Thank you so much!
Artist notes: I absolutely loved reading and creating art for this
fic. It's the BBB fic that I've most enjoyed illustrating, over the
years, and I'm extraordinarily lucky to have gotten it. I loved that
it really sort of is a study of misogyny, but that the characters and
plot carry it along without that angle being obvious or feeling
forced. I wish I had had more time to create better art. This is a
picture of Mikeyway, putting on makeup before a gig. In my mind,
Gerard is sitting on a toilet behind her--this is one of the scenes
where the two of them are talking as Mikey gets ready. I hope you
enjoy the art--I definitely enjoyed the fic.
