I'm not sure I can talk about this fic like a rational human being yet. Maybe tomorrow. But I am goddamn well sliding this under the wire to count for June. \o/?

Scotty's eyebrows climb up toward his hair. "I didn't realize there were teams."
"There are always teams. Life is one big elaborate game night."
I JUST LOVE THAT SO MUCH.
But out of sight, the months have been turning, and somehow it became fire season.
That gives me CHILLS, omg.
You are insanely talented, and this is awesome :)

You give them (Robert, particularly) so much depth and the way you have Kevin work through the reasons, the wherefores, the dynamics, Robert's physicality and all the little signs, and all the rest of it is awesome, in both senses of that word.
It's the tension still sharp and metallic in the air between them, more than there's been for months, higher-pitched and keener and lighting up Kevin's nerves like Las Vegas. What do you do with that kind of tension except channel it through the body and into a point of focus?
And THIS. Wow. Just, wow. *loses any semblance of coherency* :D
Yes. Wonderful. And you've singlehandedly made me into a shipper. *g*

Also, he and Robert are insanely hot together, even when they don't actually do anything.

I just want them to have sex, why are they so uncooperative? But I'm pleased with how this turned out anyway, because it ended up having CHARACTER and all that jazz.

This is really, really good. I'm sure I'm missing a lot of nuance, but you have such a way with language and description and you painted very real characters here. I feel like I have a solid idea of them even without having seen the show.

(I think you might like the show in the "marathon it as brain candy" kind of way, because it has good family dynamics and over-the-top ridiculousness.)
