It seems to me like he's talking to Mary, maybe he sees Mary in every woman, needs to see his women as innocence and his savior. Or maybe Bruce is just crazy-ish. :)
I am so glad you did this song; I love it but I never know what to think of it. It's kind of all over the place, but it's so lovely.
Maybe the glasses at the beginning are the ones they use for serving the wine in church?
seriously, is she Jesus? I CAN'T FIGURE THIS OUT.
Yeah, me neither. I wonder if it's a compliment if your lover compares you to Jesus? I know that nuns are sometimes called "brides of Christ" - or maybe that's just Old School.
me: I find inlovewithnight's Brucemas posts to be awesome I don't understand them at all wils: heh me: and every time I read them, I think, "I REALLY ought to like this music, yet, inexplicably, I do not." wils: hahaha me: I mean they are all about women, and redemption, and lust, and grace, and WOMEN, and did I mention redemption? And did I mention women? wils: heh me: why do I not like this?

It's sort of an interesting flipside to 'You'll be coming down,' (which I actually like better though maybe only for the music).
