Weapons of the Gods, two variations on a theme

This weekend I did two plays of the same module, the Auspicious Beginnings starter module for Weapons of the Gods. It went reasonably well, I think, and it's interesting to compare the two playthroughs, but it'd take a lot of play before I feel like I have this system anywhere like mastered.

It was interesting that in the big fight, Feng still fought the mooks and Xiao the warrior NPC, without prompting from me.

Well, it just felt right. Take Matrix Reloaded's Burly Brawl, or maybe a Jackie Chan movie. A battle with swords is a one-on-one affair; a battle with fists is a free-for-all.
