Summary: Omega Supreme does some contemplating in the moonlight.
For my mission_insane Table: Un-themed5 Prompt: Moon

The moon illuminated the landscape around him as clearly as the sun had but the light that drained the colour from the world around him. He stood in the open desert patiently watching over the Ark and its crew contemplating the effect the moon’s light had on the landscape.

The world was a cold, bland, colourless, lifeless place under the moon, all hard unforgiving edges. A world of black and white with few shades of grey, like the world he inhabited since the attack by those he had loved. A faint suggestion of a sigh escaped him; some small part of him ached to return to the world under the sun full of life and colour.

He gazed apparently unmoved up at the moon, it had inspired and terrorized humans through out their history an allegedly unreachable wondrous goal. He could stand on its surface in a few short hours, for him it held no mysteries or terror, but it did give him a sort of peace and a terrible, unachievable goal.

To be free of his desire for revenge, to be able to live a life full of colour these where his moon dreams and yet at the same time to see the world washed clean of colour and reduced to a simple starkness gave him peace to be content as he was. To sail through the night as serene as the moon itself, untroubled by the things that so often drove his fellow Autobots from their recharge and sent them stumbling out into the night to draw solace from the moon.

The clouds scudded across the sky blocking his view and he turned away to scan for threats, like the moon he was apparently peaceful with great hidden strength. Not perhaps enough to move oceans or worlds but for his kind powerful enough and like the moon his friend and enemy to be treated with caution. They had both destroyed more than one innocent life in their respective lives, had done so without regret and almost certainly would do so again in the future. The only difference now was that he was untouched by such destruction; unlike the moon, he had earthly companions who had broken through his remote shell and perhaps introduced the first few spots of colour into his life. Only the moon would ever bear witness to this gradual transformation though, only the moon could understand it.
