City Lights
Hello everyone! Late Night is all installed for me. A few glitches here and there, mostly empty clubs, and my vampires don't get glowing skin, but as long as they have the eyes I'm fine! Makes them a little less conspicuous and all. Overall very playable, but I would've gotten the EP for the piano alone, quite frankly. XD
I was just going to post a few pictures of my adventures with Late Night, but as usual I got carried away. Bad habit of mine. But it's nothing too much, so enjoy this little alternate universe story. :P

"Oi, show a little respect for your writer's simself, huh? What's up with you anyway?"
"We've been in Bridgeport for a week now and you won't let me do anything!"
"I'm still testing glitches Jules, chill. Plus I have to write the next chapter of the Inks anyway."
"Hmph. Don't know why you dragged me to this alternate dimension if all I'm going to do is sit around."
"I'll get to you, don't worry. I just need to add more drama to this is all..."
"Are you really going to do all those horrible, horrible things to them? That's my sister you know!"
"You're not the real Juliet, so she's not really your sister anyway."
"But Clover! And Ethan and Paige! You can't just-"
"Oi, no spoilers!"
"Look, if I let you go out will you promise to stop whining?"
"Yes! I wanna party and live it up!"
"Well, just to warn you, the second you leave this room I can't help you anymore. So avoid route failures and jump glitches and all that."
"Er, what?"
"Ah, nothing. Go on, have fun and don't tempt me to make your life complicated."

And that's how Julie was turned loose on Bridgeport!
I've got to say, Bridgeport is a little intimidating to me. I'm not good with big cities, I think. So the Inks will probably only be here a gen or two before I stick them somewhere else. Maybe back in an improved Riverview...?
Juliet was not very good at impressing celebrities. In fact, I think she only got one star the entire time she was there!
Elevators! I love them.
Julie, not so much. Seriously, she got stuck in every other elevator and she has the lucky trait. XD
Of course, there was bribing all around. I don't think I even asked to get in - I just went straight for the money.
Oh don't give me that face, Julie, you have tons of money. 100 is not going to make a difference.
Alright, drink time!
I have a minor pet peeve with the lighting. I don't know if you noticed, but I'm obsessed with excessively bright florescent lighting. My houses must have a light every three tiles or so. So this darkness is killing me! XD
That hot tub looks tempting.
I love the fact that you can bring your drinks in here, plus change the lighting! :D
Julie seems to agree.
Of course, I couldn't pass up the bubble machine!
As much as I love this, I probably shouldn't put one in the house. Knowing my sims, they'd spend their whole day doing this!
But Julie is adorable with this none the less.
I was also pleasantly surprised by the arcade games! Somehow I didn't hear about them until after I bought the game. I love the music it makes too.
Juliet was thrilled with this thing!
And now my years of working at Chuck E. Cheese is nagging me to build an arcade/pizza place community lot for kids. Maybe for New Riverview.
And darts. We gotta have darts.

"Well? Have fun out there?"
"Almost too much! When's the next time I can go out?"
"Well, as soon as your date gets here..."
"Wait, what date?"
"I got bored. Went for the drama. Now go on, get the door."
"Ah...er...hello?"
"Hmm, interesting place you've got here, Jules."
"Y-you're-!"
"Miss me, Juliet?"
I worry about Juliet. I would definitely not turn my back on Laser Eyes back there.
"You don't seem very excited! And here I came all the way from the set to see you."
"The set?"
"You know, where we work together? The place where we've been filming a Scarlet sequel for years now? Don't flake on me Jules."
"I...is that what really happened?"
"Of course! You been having that weird dream again where I'm a human and married your sister?"
"Uh...guess so."

So, off to the club with these two and their contrived back story!
I'm glad that vampires taking a cab isn't a regular occurrence in this game - any cabbie seeing that in their rear view mirror is going to freak out.
"Miles, you sure we can get into a place as classy as this?"
"C'mon Julie, have you forgotten who I am?"
"After all, this nice bouncer is certainly willing to let me in, being the vampire actor son of Reina Croix and all."
"Wow Miles, this place is great! Beats out Aquarius any day. Hey, do they have a bar here?"
"Yeah, second floor. Ah, but before you get any alcohol in your system..."
"...mind if I have a drink?"
Juliet blinked dazedly, then said, "Oh? Oh. Ah, sure."
"Do you want my arm or something?"
"Oh, that's not necessary."
"You'll have to forgive me for being a more...traditional vampire."
"You can close your eyes if you're afraid."
"There...that wasn't so bad, was it?"
"Uh...what?"
"Sorry, that does tend to leave you a little dazed, huh?"
Miles didn't do too much to help her being dazed, however.

So, what happened after then?
Well, true to drama fashion, these two had a crazy celebrity party all the time affair. I'll spare you the details.
They should have been a bit more careful with the whole vampire thing, though.
Ah, they'll only get into more trouble now, huh?
"What do you mean you're cutting us off?"
"Only so many times I'm going to use motherlode, Julie. You and Miles can lay low for a bit."
"We can't! We've got a reputation to uphold!"
"Ah, you'll survive."
Well, after that, Miles and Julie disappeared. Imagine that, my sims running away from me, the silly things. Ah , but I let them go. As much as I missed my pretty sims...
...they did leave me with a new project.
Little Lotus Ink was interesting to raise. Imagine, a simself raising a vampire toddler of missing celebrities in a high rise, not letting her out...
And then some more time passed.
Ah, too bad Lotus doesn't exist in the main story. She'd be a good instrument of drama. But that would require the real Miles and Julie to have an affair, and I think I've made Filly's life miserable enough.
"Amanda."
"What's with you sims calling me that? You and your mother both."
"Actually, that's what I wanted to talk to you about."
"You knew my parents right?"
"Knew, created, controlled, yeah. Why?"
"Do you think you could bring them here so I could meet them?"
"You know...I think I will! I've given them enough free time."
"Wait, you could've brought them back at any time? You let me grow up an orphan on purpose?!"
"Never mind that! Lo-lo, why don't you meander the streets for a bit while I arrange their arrival?"
Lotus sighed.
She spent all her days in that high rise, and all her nights on the streets sneaking into clubs and praying her fangs would grow in already so she could hunt. Maybe then the Bridgeport Coven would stop coddling her like a child.
She knew these streets and these people like the back of her hand.
So who were these newcomers in her city?
But before she knew it, they were closing in. Should she call the coven? But before she could escape, she suddenly found something familiar about them...
"Hello Lotus."
Things in Bridgeport were going to get interesting now.

Yes, yes, as much as I love Miles and Filly as a couple...he and Julie always looked really good together. I hope you can forgive me for that. XD
So I'm loving a lot of the stuff from Late Night, but I'm still so divided on whether or not I like Bridgeport. The Inks are still definitely moving there (for good reason), but we'll see if I can stand it. Perhaps I'll create a new Riverview and make a mini city like area with clubs and apartments, but still have all the neighborhood stuff.
And now I'm going to get obsessed with it and make my own parks/townies, lol. ;-; I don't have time for this but I want to do this~! XD
New chapter should still be up this weekend, barring any major distractions. :)
