I watched the end of season 5 of The Walking Dead on Tuesday, and I’m still not over it. I have a love-hate relationship with this show. I don’t actually like horror. I got sucked into watching this because my dad was marathoning borrowed DVDs of the first two seasons when he was ill and I kept walking past and flinching, then going ‘wait, what ( Read more... )

I DOOOO! So much! So much that i needed an orphan black icon for this reply and didn't have one and so had to run off and make some, heh. I will never get over the fact that the same actress is all of those characters.

COME ON, UK CHANNELS. THERE IS A MARKET FOR AGENT CARTER OVER HERE.

Right now, the only show I watch is Agents of SHIELD. And Game of Thrones when it starts up again. Basically, I don't watch a lot of TV because it cuts into writing time...

What made me write fic for the two things I write for? Well, incompleteness, I guess. More story to tell, not enough resolution.... That sort of thing. And then occasionally I come up with crossover/ fusion ideas, usually for characters I can't see myself write actual stories of their own for.

I should be writing right now ... But my Mac died. Have to figure out how to switch the keyboard on the iPad on...

See I used to think that if I cut out tele that i'd do more writing, but then I realised that I record shows or buy the dvds and actually only watch them when my brain is too broken for anything else, so that makes me feel less guilty ;) My favourite part of Game of Thrones is seeing how well some of the actors fit their bookish counterparts.

Gap filling *nods*.

Argh, no, not the mac :(

a new series just 3 eps in now ... dialogues are witty like VMars, cast are varied with PoC and a woman is the hero... *grins* like a new Buffy or VMars. and David Anders ia also a bonus

I would caution you that if what you want is something to make you feel better when you are ill, the back half of Buffy S6 is unlikely to fill the bill. That said, BUFFY. :DDD

I adored the first season of Veronica Mars (and shipped Veronica/Logan like whoa), but I adored it in this weird way where it gave me so exactly what I wanted that I... didn't want any more? I watched just enough of S2 to establish that that was indeed Logan at the door, and then I stopped and have never had any desire to rewatch, even though I know there's a bunch of Buffy cast in later seasons.

Uh-oh. Guess i'd better watch that half a season before I get ill again then! It's been fun watching it in order and connecting all the dots. Plus Whedon dialogue for the win.

Two epidoes into season 2 she's not with Logan any more and things they are afoot with a new mystery on the back of season one's main plotline, so i'm seeing where it goes. And hoping, after much train crashing and angst and banter and tension, that Logan and Veronica sort themselves out. I'll see if I can spot the Buffy gang. I've seen Willow and Cordelia so far *grins*.

Joss himself shows up, too, I am told!

Have you seen Once More With Feeling yet? Even if you've seen it before, it's SO much richer in context. It is a truly stunning accomplishment.

Huh, somehow I didn't get notification of this comment :/

Okay, HA, this I need to see :D

I have! And I hadn't seen it before, even though i'd heard some of the songs. I was expecting a normalish episode with music added in, not an actual 'oh, yeah, we went and did a musical in one episode'.

I watch Agents of SHIELD, Jane the Virgin, and Nashville currently. In backlog, I'll wander through the occasional Star Trek: Voyager episode or something else I've already seen.

I fic things when they leave icebergs I have ideas for and I have time/audience. I'd fic Nashville if I had energy/audience, but I don't. Jane the Virgin has an audience, but I'd have to work to get a feel for how to write it and it's too, too easy for it to joss me right now and I don't like Jane/Rafael, so haven't gotten far.

Of course, I may end up ficcing all three, but for now it's just AOS.

What's Jane the Virgin and Nashville? :)

It's interesting that you mention audience. I wrote a Harry Potter/Unwind crossover once as a gift for someone and I realised when I was done that she was perhaps the only person who would ever even want to read that, but since there was at least one person I didn't mind. Mostly I've been in bigger fandoms. I wonder if my attention was caught by something without an audience if I would stil post it; I don't know *shrugs*

I need to catch up with SHIELD! And the UK needs Peggy Carter. And I've been told I also need to watch Daredevil. ALL THE MARVEL lol.

Jane the Virgin is basically a story about a virgin (Jane Villanueva) who is accidentally artificially inseminated with the baby of the guy running the hotel where she works and with whom she once upon a time long ago shared a kiss. Problem being, she's engaged, stayed a virgin in reaction to not wanting to end up like her unmarried teen mom, and so this makes everything really complicated.

And being something of a show modeled off of essentially Spanish soap operas, the plot thickens and gets more crazy complex every single episode. I love it.

Nashville is a show about musicians in Nashville and their families. I came for Hayden Panettiere, got sucked in by the amazing music, then stayed for the characters (though there's a couple storylines that do worse than leave me meh, I'll put up with them for the ones I adore). Lots of relationships, drama, music, and did I mention great music?, and families and history and music. Awesome show ( ... )
