And yes to Fabio/Gabirel Ba art! (I can never remember which one did Casanova). I wasn't a fan of it when I read the Unbrella academy and it's put me off Casanova too.

And the Girl with all the Gifts... is that Mike Carey?

We all want it. It's shiny :D (I spotted it tonight on Amazon for less than what he paid in store but haven't the heart to tell him :/ He got to pick a lovely copy though, nothing that might be damaged in the post, and I know copies are hard to get hold of.)

Cassanova just doesn't work for me, the art and the story. Ah well.

Yes, yes it is. Laura has been telling me about this book and made me really, really want to read it. And then we realised that Carey has done lots of other things that we want to read but actually haven't or have heard of!

I was recommended Mike Carey by a woman in the library. I was looking for his graphic novels and she was telling me how he wrote supernatual crime (?) and that she really liked his stuff. And then we talked about Neil Gaiman because obviously. But I'm assuming that's on general I-can-buy-it-in-Waterstones release, and I can get that easy anywhere.
