The reveals are now live for Secret Santa 2012 over at
be_compromised!!! Be sure to dive into the wonderful on the
Masterlist.
On the one hand I am a tiny bit disappointed, because I didn't get chance to read anywhere close to all of them before the reveals went up. There's something great about reviewing anon. creative works, that part where people know that

I'm behind on fics for the Secret Santa and haven't had the chance to read yours yet, but I promise, I'm going to get to it soon. 1930s America is so fascinating to me because my grandma grew up in the dustbowl and keeps telling me all of those stories about it. The graphics are all gorgeous, though (I grabbed all of them to put into the ebook I made of all of the stories), which just figures, given your insane talent with graphics.
Anyway, that was all I wanted to say, and also, I had a reaaaaally hard time not making up my own banner for my story and just throwing it in with the lot to you, but that probably would've given me away. ;)

Wow. Anytime you feel you want to talk about those stories or the history at that time, I'm all ears. I loved the prompt that I got and I fell in love with the time I was writing about.
You're doing an ebook?! Are you going to make it available on be_compromised or anywhere? Because wow :D ( ... )

Currently, I'm more focused on the 1916-1918 era (yep, WWI) because of a fic I'm writing in another fandom, but I will definitely take you up on that offer!
Yeah, I've combined all of the text into the ebook so far, but I was waiting until the authors were revealed. The epub will have all of the graphics (including banners we made and gift baskets), and it's sorted first by rating and then by alphabetical order (since I didn't know the authors). I don't know if the mods will be comfortable with me releasing it, though, so I should probably talk to them about it. I sent cybermathwitch an early version of it.
I make a lot of ebooks. It's kind of my thing. Speaking of which, if you want, here's the link to my Rascals, Scoundrels, Villains, and Knaves ebook if you want to save ( ... )

What fandom is that one for? *is curious* My brain is currently absorbed with fusion and crossover ideas, but I think I'd like to play more with the 1930s circus theme.
As long as everyone is credited, I don't see why not. It's pretty much like having an AO3 collection really, isn't it? Only I guess people might be less inclined to comment/leave feedback. But personally I like the download/pdf option on AO3 - I don't have an e-reader or anything, but it's handy when you're away from the internet, and when a fic is particularly long.
Wow, thank you for the offer! I don't think I've written anything that's really long enough for that kind of thing though. The Nature Of Dust is the longest fic I've completed in years. I'm hoping it pushes me out of my comfort zone into writing longer things, because I have ideas that need the space.

I believe yours is one of the many I haven't read yet *sigh* but have on my to-read list *bounces up and down in excitement*.
YOU SEE WHY I HAD TO MAKE GRAPHICS?! I am in love with Clint in a waistcoat and Natasha in a corset photoshoots (or, y'know, Renner and Johansson as they're otherwise known, heh). Here is the original corset photo for your delight (I manipulated it for the circus graphics. Actually, I might post all my manipulations later. Pretty pictures were pretty):

Heh, originally I just volunteered to make a few things for anuna_81 and cybermathwitch and then I asked daxcat79 if they'd be interested in joining in, because we had icon love going on, and then we thought, well, why not just ask the whole comm...and then there was a team and beautiful, shiny things flooding my inbox. Organising that was far from a trial, they were all brilliant, and it was so much fun to get to play :D
