He wasn't jealous: He wasn't annoyed by the fact that she was paying him more attention. He wasn't irritated that she was letting him lie on her lap. He didn't care she was feeding him from out of her hand or that she kissed him sometimes...
He was absolutely certain he wasn't jealous.
... But he still tried to get rid of his rival by picking him up by the scruff of his neck and forcing him back into the box.
He got scratched several times for attempting... though he didn't mind her giving him first aid herself.
