Oh my dear...that was simply beautiful. You captured the final few moments wonderfully! I do see it being Kav in the tent, Traan long gone, but also the other way, and that is just great!

:-) I'm very glad you liked it! I really struggled with who should be taken and who should be dying within, and in the end, I thought it best if Chuck and Kia knew, but we didn't. Death can be so confusing sometimes -- tangled emotions about the impending or recent loss and of course, guilt for relief that the end is near when someone is dying in pain or other protracted, unpleasant ways.

*hugs you back* I shed a lot of tears over this one, I can assure you. Kept running out of tissues, so fell back on my sleeve. ;-)

That's so beautiful. I love glimpses of how the Athosian culture differs from Earth's, in both canon and fanfiction. Interesting pair of characters, too.
