I dawdled on over to Ray's Cafe to see my winning photo hanging on a wall with others on Friday after work. I felt like a bit of a spanner there by myself but managed to shuffle around with a glass of wine and speak to a copule of people. Lettuce will be edible within three weeks from seed and the potato is growing like a trooper. I can't wait to try and harvest :)

I have one blossom on the summer bulbs I planted and it is slowly starting to open and the chives I bought on Saturday have a couple of buds (they had a couple more but I ate them)!

You narrowboating star, you! I'm glad somebody's still inspired to bake. I used to love baking, but now that I do it for money I only do it for money, you know? I don't even bake bread for myself, just limp along on pumpernickel and naan from the store. I'd offer you my poor neglected recipes but it sounds like you're doing just fine on your own.

Oh shame about the baking for money thing sucking the fun out of it but I can sort of understand that. Maybe you'll branch off into a different area of cooking for relaxation?
